We have been getting out in the community, and it’s paying off. With all the animals we’ve been helping, we need to raise funds, so we’re on the job!
Last Wednesday, members of our team spoke at the Cameron Rotary Club. Apparently it made a great impression, because we’ve been getting great compliments on the presentation by Michael Girton and Jean Schara.
On Thursday, there was a celebration in Cameron for Rusty Garrett, beloved Channel 10 weatherman, who’s touring his broadcast area to say farewell before he retires. People enjoyed Rusty, but also got to enjoy our spokesdog, Thor. It was great to see so many people there.
And this morning, Board members Sue Ann Kendall and Jean Schara attended Market Day at Cameron Yards. Michael Girton also joined them briefly.
We thank MTOL member Pamela Neeley for allowing us to share her booth in the shade, and for providing the spokesdog for this event. We talked to many people and got three new memberships and donations as well. We also got a new volunteer!
Next week we’ll be even busier, so be on the lookout for representatives of Milam Touch of Love sharing their vision and getting donations to support our efforts to help the pets and educate the pet owners of Milam County.
