Barn Cat Snip Day. Please read carefully — our options have changed.
February 12, 2025, at the Milano Community Center across from the Post Office.
We now have two options on Barn Cat Day — the traditional Barn Cat pricing at $55 per cat
For Barn Cat pricing — $55 for each cat, you get the following:
Spay/neuter (injected pain medication and antibiotics)
Rabies vaccination (no certificate or tag)
Ear Tip (required)
Please note: You will have no proof of rabies vaccination, and Dr. Brinlee will have no individual record of your cat being treated. This is important for legal considerations. But if you have a barn, stray, or feral cat you are feeding, this is the program to prevent reproduction and protect the cat from rabies.
The minimum age and weight are 8 weeks and 2 lbs. (12 weeks is ideal because they are old enough for their rabies shot then.)
New Option: For Porch Cat pricing — $70 for each cat, you get the following:
Spay/neuter (injected pain medication and antibiotics)
Rabies vaccination (certificate and tag)
Ear Tip (required)
Microchip with registration and transfer

Special Notes:
For residents inside the city limits of Milano: Your cats will be spayed or neutered free of charge. We’ll check your address and should already know this, but if we miss it, please ask. If you live on a county road, you are not inside city limits. If you live outside of city limits, you are not inside city limits.
The Milam County Grant has been exhausted and is not available. The budget for City of Thorndale residents has been exhausted for this year, so it is no longer available.

Yes. Registration for that event opens on February 15th.
I filled out the form, however I have 3 cats. One male & two females.
Do I need to fill out the form 3 times?

I don’t see an option to add number of cats or a way to register more than one time for additional cats.

This morning it kept telling I had already registered and wouldn’t give me the option to fill out the form again. I ended up exiting the page completely and went back in and the blank form was there again. I think I should be registered for 4 now, 3 girls and 1 boy.
I registered 4 cats for February 12. When will I know if I am accepted to have them neutered? Also if they are can I bring them in together in one kennel.
We have your registration. Your notification either went out yesterday or today (they are in progress). They can come together, but if you can house them separately, it’s better for them.
What time do I bring them in?
